Transient Responses Evaluation of FPSO with Different Failure Scenarios of Mooring Lines

چکیده
During the long-term service condition, mooring line of deep-water floating platform may fail due to various reasons, such as overloading caused by an accidental condition or performance deterioration. Therefore, safety under transient responses process should be evaluated in advance, during design phase. A series time-domain numerical simulations for evaluating changes a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) with different broken modes lines was carried out. The conditions include single two failure ipsilateral, opposite, adjacent sides. resulting following steady-state vessel tensions were analyzed, corresponding influence mechanism investigated. watch circle tension redistribution remaining lines. results indicated that mainly influences sway, surge, yaw, change rule is closely related stiffness symmetry system. simulation could give profound understanding transient-effects failure, suggestions are given account effects

Investigation of Influence of Mooring system in Response of FPSO
FPSOs are useful in newly established offshore oil regions where there is no pipeline infrastructure in place, or in remote locations where building a pipeline is cost-prohibitive. In this study, hydrodynamic analysis of FPSO is inquired based Boundary Element Method (BEM) and wave forces/moments, added mass and damping coefficients of degrees of freedom are obtained by AQWA software. FPSO moor...

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...

In this paper, we develop a new finite element model for a cable suspended in water. Global existence and uniqueness of solutions of the truncated system is shown for a slightly simplified equation describing the motion of a cable having negligible added mass and supported by fixed end-points. Based on this, along with well known results on local existence and uniqueness of solutions for symmet...
